What are we looking for?

Details of Position

Motivated, enthusiastic, Native level command of English,lively, friendly and efficient EFL Teacher required, Leading, prestigious TEFL organization, established in 1974 – pleasant surroundings, well equipped classrooms, resources, warm, friendly, professional and supportive working atmosphere, 2 centres in Vigo,15 classrooms, normal class max. 7 students per class. Emphasis on Communicative Methodology. Ages from approximately 6 years of age to adults and all levels from beginners to Proficiency. Students are prepared for Cambridge (UCLES) examinations, including YLE. Timetable: 20-25 class hours per week, plus 1 hour input training workshop.

Qualifications

The candidate (1) should have full native level command of English, (2) have EU citizenship or legal work/residency permit for Spain (3) have a good university degree (preferably in English, Spanish, or modern languages) and 4) a quality TEFL certificate, such as CELTA, TRINITY, ACELS, or equivalent, preferably with a Grade A or B result. A basic conversational knowledge of Spanish is required, together with good references, wherever applicable.

Salary and Benefits

Excellent monthly salary, with National Health and Social Security benefits. A travel allowance is included in monthly salary. Allowances are paid for University degree and TEFL teaching qualifications in proportion to qualifications.The higher the qualification the higher the allowance. Holidays: over 2 weeks at Christmas, 1 week at Easter, 2 days at “Carnaval”. Access to internet and school computer network available to teachers. Assistance in finding accommodation, if requested.
